You’re the frog in Peacock’s upcoming ‘Frogger’ physical competition show
What do you get when you mix Takeshi Castle with Frogger, in addition to an explosion of hairspray infused with 1980s nostalgia? A new show from NBC, apparently.
NBC’s streaming platform Peacock has ordered 13 one-hour episodes of Frogger, an oversized physical competition spectacle with 12 obstacle courses inspired by the classic game. That probably means a lot of neon lights, cartoonish sets, and a Konami-branded handful.
“These physically demanding challenges will see competitors dodge treacherous traffic, leap over alligators and jump over hungry hippos to conquer the course,” the press release said.
The winner of each episode will receive a cash prize. Eureka Productions, the company behind Fantastic race and Meetings around, is casting the show now, and it’s open to U.S. residents 18 and over. It will tour in Australia from the end of May to the end of June. Have a good jump, hopes.
